Baby Jock Balance Bike Review/Giveaway

The brand Baby Jock focuses on the promotion of healthier, more active lifestyles in children from the prenatal stage through young adulthood. Baby Jock represents high-quality, health-conscious products and information; aiding parents and guardians to make the best choices for their children’s mental and physical well-being. The term Baby Jock describes an elite, active child living a healthy lifestyle with his/her family. With the current rise of obesity rates, to be a Baby Jock will not only mean health and wellness, but a symbol of pride and success. Whether through a quality product line, a television segment, or online information – our customers will know that when something is branded under the Baby Jock name it will represent health, wellness, sportsmanship, and superiority.

Our oldest son is almost 5 and when he was nearing his 3rd birthday we started talking about getting him his first bike. Well my dad is an avid bike rider, so he wanted to purchase this special present for him and that was fine with us :) But in my seeking I started seeing a new product called a "Balance Bike". There were many different brands , but the concept to me just looked so neat! Teaching a child to ride a bike from the beginning with no training wheels! Unfortunately no one else in my family was as intrigued by this concept as I was , so he ended up getting the standard training wheel bike.

Recently I was given the chance to review one of these balance bikes, from a company called Baby Jock. I couldn't wait for this product to arrive to find out just how it works. We were sent the balance bike in green. It arrived just a couple days before Christmas so we decided to surprise our kiddos with it Christmas morning.

My husband put it together and he said it was really easy! It took him just about 5 minutes and it was ready to go! He sat the seat at the lowest position in hopes that our youngest boy, who is 22 months old , would be able to ride it. The ages are supposed to be for 2-5.

Christmas morning my husband rolled out on this bike...yes on it ;-) Don't worry, no weight was actually put onto the bike ;-) And both of our boys were pretty excited!

The only problem for us with this bike is our 22 month old is short for his age, so even at the lowest seat setting his feet do not reach the floor, (they do sell a lowering kit for just 9.99 that would solve this) so we quickly rose the seat to the highest setting for our oldest, he is 3 months shy of 5 and very tall for his age, but he is able to ride this. I don't know how much longer he will be able to ride , but for now he is really enjoying it.

It has been really cold where we live, so the time on the bike has been very limited, we live in a small house and the bike isn't really something he can ride through our hallway. ... we did have a milder day yesterday though so my husband took him out for a quick ride :)

My son said he really like the bike, and my husband said that he did pretty good on it. Overall he was a little nervous about lifting his feet off the ground , but my husband thinks that this bike will be much better for teaching our kids to ride than the typical pedal and training wheels bike.

Overall I think this bike is going to be a huge hit! Especially when the youngest gets a little taller and can ride it. I love that this bike is very light weight, it can be easily transported in our vehicle for days at the park or over at the grandparents house. Also I have to admit, we are HORRIBLE about leaving bikes out when we are done with them, and as you know with metal they rust over time, you dont have that problem with these bikes! The seat height is also very easy to adjust, which is great with 3 kids, especially because our younger two are just 17 months apart, there is sure to be a time when they both want to ride it and it will be easy to switch it back and forth between the two :)

You can purchase these great Balance Bikes on the Baby Jock website for $159.99 and one of you will win one of your own! You can choose between red, pink, blue or green! Please fill out the entry form below for your chance to win. This giveaway will remain open until Wednesday January 23rd. Good Luck!!
