DaddyScrubs™ is the offspring of Robert Nickell, who fathered his first four children more than 20 years ago. DaddyScrubs™ was conceived when Robert, who remarried in 2007, discovered he was about to be a father all over again in the fall of 2009!

Just a few days ago we started this "Baby Event" by helping to make mom's look great in the hospital. Today I want to focus on making dad look great as well. So often the role that new dad's play is overlooked, all the attention goes to the new mom. While I have to admit I enjoy the attention, I also want my husband to be recognized because he has a huge job as well! He is my supporter, my cheerleader, the new babies diaper changer, he follows the baby to the nursery to make sure he/she is taken care of the way we prefer and when I am tired of hospital food and coffee he goes to get me something much better ;-) Not to mention he played a pretty big role in creating this wonderful human that we have just welcomed into the world!
I was thrilled to have the chance to work with DaddyScrubs. First I have to tell you, my husband loves how comfortable scrubs are. He has a pair from the hospital he was born at...I am not sure how he got them, but he has had them since before we were dating and he still has them (that was over 9 yrs ago), and when our 2nd child was born our nurse got him a pair of scrubs. He wears these things whenever they are clean around the house, he just loves them! So just the idea of getting him some more scrubs made me so excited!! To make these scrubs even better, they are made just for Dads! Saying "i'm the Daddy" on the back! I love it!!! I couldn't wait until these arrived in the mail for my hubby!!
I decided to choose the Green Classic scrubs for my hubby. I wasn't sure what size to go with so I was sent a large, when they arrived I could tell the shirt was going to be huge on him...so I emailed them back and they were kind enough to send us a new Green Classic top in Medium , plus the Blue Edgy in a Medium. I knew this was going to thrill my husband even more to have 2 sets to wear while at the hospital. Being that I was just 2 1/2 weeks from my scheduled c-section date I went ahead and washed up the large green and put them in our hospital bag...I had been having contractions and thought if I happen to go into labor, atleast he will have something to wear ;-) Well just a couple days later we found ourselves in the hospital about to have a baby!!! My husband and I were both thrilled when my parents showed up with our 2 boys to meet our little girl with a package from DaddyScrubs in hand!! The other pair had arrived!! :)
My husband was the talk of the hospital in these scrubs!! Everyone loved them!! He said that anywhere he went in the hospital, to the nursery, to the coffee shop, etc.. people would stop him and ask him about them! All of our nurses loved them as well and thought it was great that he had more than one pair, to show just how proud he was to be a dad for the 3rd time. :) And best of all he says they are really comfortable. He has even wore them many times around the house since we have been home.
I don't know how well you can tell in these pictures, but the green medium was a bit bigger than the blue, so I would take this into consideration when you order :)
