GoPicnic History
Founder and CEO Julia Stamberger first launched GoPicnic in November 2006, serving up a shelf-stable meal box solution to the costly fresh food service available for purchase onboard major U.S. airlines. Stamberger’s ready-to-eat box lunch concept enabled airlines to offer quality, in-flight food options that reduced waste and required zero prep time. The airlines were also able to increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction with GoPicnic boxed meals.

The success of the ready-to-eat boxed lunches and meals with onboard airline clients led the way for GoPicnic’s growth into new markets. In addition to airlines, GoPicnic has created meal boxes for hotels, tourism, corporate events, and college and camp food service programs. GoPicnic’s Care Packages debuted in May 2010, which allowed consumers to send flavorful food boxes to faraway family and friends. In January 2011, GoPicnic introduced eight new ready-to-eat boxed lunches for the retail market, which are available at nationwide grocery, specialty, and mass merchandise stores, as well as online.

I love going out with my kids, but it seems whenever we go out, no matter for how long or short of a period of time they always get hungry while we are out and about. I love being able to treat my kids to a fun treat or meal out every once and awhile but not EVERY time we are out.

gopicnic is a company that creates healthy, ready to eat meals for on the go! I was very eager to give these a try with my family. I chose to try out the Sunbutter + Crackers and the Turkey Stick + Crunch. These arrived shortly before my family was leaving for vacation so I decided these would be great to take a long with us!

So we took these with us , but sadly I kept forgetting to throw them in my diaper bag before we would leave the place we were staying for the day. There was one day where I remembered to take one out with us! I was so glad I did too. We were just relaxing at the campground that my aunt and uncle were staying at , and I needed a snack so I pulled out the Turkey + Crunch meal.

I ate the turkey stick, some of the chips and the cookie, my hubby had the nuts some chips and our oldest son had the rest of the cookie and the fruit snacks. We all loved the items we had!  One of the things that I really like about these little meals is that you can close up the box if you don't eat it all in one setting.

And how fun is this? There is a little game in the box for when your all done your little meal!

We have not had the chance to try the second meal...and to be honest I almost just sat down and ate it so I could tell you how Yummy it is (because I am sure it will be), but they are just soooo easy and convenient for when we are out I didn't want to waste it. :-/ So it is hanging out in my diaper bag. :)

You can purchase gopicnic meals at GoPicnic.comAmazon.com or Drugstore.com. You can also go to there store locator and see if somewhere near you carries these great little meals! One of you will win 2 meals of your choice, just fill out the entry form below. I will leave this open until Thursday July 19th. Good Luck!!!

****GoPicnic provides a variety of meals, which are not all gluten free.  It is important for consumers to review the product packaging and labels because there are several meals, which are not gluten free.*****

  2. We start off early watching television and then envisioning our American dream. As a child, we play with our babies, doll houses, and writing in our diaries. We start at the tender age of 4 or 5 looking for our prince charming to marry. Over time, we replace our crushes of princes and other Disney characters with real boys. Sometimes it is the boy that sits next to you in class or a movie star. Either way, it is getting you ready for that all important task called LOVE.........
