Bluapple Review/Giveaway

How Does the BluApple Work?

Ethylene gas is given off naturally by fruits and vegetables as a signaling mechanism in order to coordinate uniform ripening. However, once concentrated in your refrigerator or other storage areas, the presence of ethylene gas continues to speed up ripening and hasten spoilage.
The BluApple is designed to provide effective ethylene gas absorption for three months in a typical home refrigerator produce bin or storage container. The active ingredient does not "wear out", but continues to absorb ethylene until it has reached its capacity. A One Year Refill Kit rounds out the BluApple ethylene gas management product line, allowing consumers to reuse BluApples and not add them to landfills.

We really try to eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies in our home. I love to have them on hand at all times for snacks, but probably like every other household I tend to "stock up" way too much on my trips to the grocery store or farmer's market and end up throwing a lot of spoiled produce out = waste of $$.
I was thrilled to have stumbled upon the bluapple and to have the chance to review it. We received our bluapple pack and I had just been grocery shopping the day before so I threw one in my produce drawer. My oldest son saw it a couple days later and thought that somehow a toy ended up in the fridge :) I have had bluapple now for about 3 1/2 weeks, and I have definitely noticed a difference in the amount of produce we are throwing out. I bought some apples, pears, oranges, blueberries, lettuce, tomatoes and carrots all in one shopping trip and the only thing I had to throw out was some lettuce. I still have some apples and blueberries in there and they still look great, I actually just ate an apple and it was perfect! So I am sold on bluapple!

You can purchase your own bluapple at most grocery stores, or online for just 9.95 for two! A bargain for sure, considering how much $$ you will save in wasted produce! Bluapple also has been kind enough to offer 3 of you the chance to win your own bluapple! Just fill out the form below, I will leave this open until Thursday Feb 23rd! Good Luck!

  4. I love the content and even the layout of it, but the choice of background scheme leaves something to be desired. A nice banner as well would look much better in the header in the display of your blog name. I would also add who the giveaways are open for, for example US only, US/CAN, WW, etc. I'm Canadian and have been entering but have been very curious whether I'm even eligible for these giveaways.
