Family Sunday

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week! We go to a church that we just love, the worship is amazing and the people are just like family. Aaron learns something every week and is eager to share it with us and that just blesses my heart! Then Sunday afternoons we either go out to eat or come home and I make a big lunch and we just relax. There really is nothing better than a Sunday :)

Today, went a little differently though. We were all up getting ready for church when Micah (our 6 1/2 month old) went into major meltdown mode. His top gums have been swollen for over a week now anxiously awaiting the arrival of some teeth that refuse to pop through. So we finally got him calmed down and to sleep and decided it was best to stay home.

Isaac (my hubby) suggested that since we were missing church we do a family devotional. Since he didn't have anything prepared he searched the net and found this . SO Isaac, Aaron (our 3 1/2 yr old) and I sat down and watched and then discussed. This little 3 minute clip was perfect for us this morning. Aaron has been having a fear of falling asleep at night due to a few bad dreams and after this we talked with him about the comfort he can have in Christ, we can be fearless because of Him. And it was the perfect reminder to Isaac and I to slow down to take the time to remember how wonderful that day will be when we see Him face to face! We so easily get caught up in the day to day that we forget how GLORIOUS that DAY will be!
